eevilalice's 2011 Deflower Draco Fest (deflower_draco) had two simple rules: all stories had to be het and Draco Malfoy had to be a virgin. It was created to address the common trope in het Draco fic which put Draco Malfoy, the male character, as an all-knowing sex god, and commonly cast his female counterpart as the stereotypical blushing virgin. I think we can all see the hand of the patriarchy at work, yes?

Story #1: That One Fic Where Hermione Worries About Her Career and Ends Up Shagging Draco On the Side.

Summary: That one-night stand with Draco Malfoy was a mistake. Hermione doesn't make mistakes, or at least she isn't supposed to. She's working hard at her Ministry career, however frustrating and pointless her job may be, and she's also got to live up to everyone's expectations as Hogwarts's most famous Muggle-born and a top-tier War Hero. So, why is she still sleeping with Draco Malfoy, ex-Death Eater and infamous pureblood? And why isn't she certain that she wants to stop?

Meta: I wrote this story with two goals in mind. 1) Reversing the common job-and-boyfriend worries trope by making Hermione's post-war career anxiety the primary emotional problem to be resolved in this fic. Sure, there's Draco too, but the primary emotional arc of the story is Hermione deciding what she wants to do with her life, being pulled between everyone else's expectations and what she actually desires. 2) Showing a strong friendship between Hermione and Ginny. Relationships between women get side-lined a lot in Harry Potter canon, as well as fandom, not to mention fandom often turns other female characters into villains in order to ham-handedly create tension and drama. I had a ton of fun writing scenes of banter between Ginny and Hermione, and I wanted to show the kind of conversation that I imagined them having 'off stage' in the Harry Potter books.

Side Note: There's a tiny shout-out to my one of my favorite headcanons, Future House-husband!Draco, at the very end of the fic. :)

Story #2: That One Fic Where Draco Is A Ball of Nerves and Lust, Due to Know-It-All Sex Goddess Hermione

Summary: Draco's stuck working as a sex-advice columnist after the Ministry impounded both his family's money and Malfoy Manor. He traded on his sex god reputation at Hogwarts in order to get the job, but there are a few small problems: he's a virgin, and he also has no idea what he's talking about.

When Hermione Granger arrives at his office, irate at the poor quality of his advice, Draco finds himself blackmailed into letting her instruct him on the proper way to give sex advice. She apparently gets up to some pretty creative sexual practices in her spare time, but she's also an irritating, intrusive know-it-all. Draco should be chomping at the bit to get rid of her, so why is he fantasizing about her all the time?

Meta: This fic was all about two things: 1) Making Draco blunder about, romantic comedy-style, over the lady that he fancies and desperately wants to shag and 2) calling out a lot of the fandom and general society tropes about sex and relationships. Things addressed in the fic: it's okay and non-shameful to be a virgin after one's teens; not being a virgin does not equal being Infinitely Knowledgeable About Sex; ladies can have lots of sex for fun if they so choose; BDSM is a consensual practice; women can know more about sex than men; people don't just magically know about sex at a certain age, it requires a fundamental knowledge of biology, sex education, research, and access to resources to answer one's questions.
